a+LiNK Architecture designed the new Early Learning Centre in the Orchard Park South development in St. Thomas, Ontario. The childcare facility was designed with a central organizational circulation spine, with the childcare program spaces along the building perimeter. This provides each classroom with natural daylight and views of the exterior playground, as well as access to individual washrooms. Architecturally, the design was based on ‘the house within the garden’ in which the facility is surrounded by the green play space.
