a+LiNK was retained by the building committee of Verity Church to design for the implementation of building accessibility, in conjunction with an accessibility grant, to improve access to the existing church, located in Waterloo, Ontario. The project involves a new 1,100 SF entrance addition which includes a new lobby, gathering space, and counseling room, as well as a new lift and stair to improve connection between the multi-level building. The design of the existing building includes new contemporary interior finishes throughout as well as a new servery and barrier-free doors to better accommodate all users. The facade of the addition is designed to complement the existing building with similar glazing features.
